This is a fine product and I have used the same great paper from Hammermill for a few years. If you haven't tried it, I think you will be pleased. The slightly heavier weight feels and looks good. SUGGESTION... please ship in the original 5 ream box! I received a much larger shipping box that had the 5 one-ream packages inside along with some plastic cushioning, because the box was so large. There was no damage to the paper (thankfully) BUT it would be a lot more convenient to receive it in the 5 ream box -- as shown in the Amazon description photographs. I took one star off for this reason... everything else is fine.I've been using the Hammermill Laser Print paper for at least the past 20+ years. Hammermill reformulated the paper a few years ago, made it a bit brighter white and also a bit thicker. But unless you had one of the old reams side-by-side with a new ream, you'd never know. This paper also creates much less dust inside the printer than cheap copy paper. The only downside is the cost. :-((Having been in the printing business for many years, I know paper. Best paper to use in an office (or home) is a 24lb quality paper. Brightness is a distant second to the importance of the paper's weight. Regular copy paper (20ib) will either curl after being printed or lose shape after a few days. Any 24lb paper is worth the extra money (Hammermill, Cascade, etc), especially if the printed copy will be shared with others.The print quality of this specific paper is what I use for my certificates because they are thicker than the usual copy paper, which are too frail.Although, the item was already opened upon arrival/delivery. Highly disappointed that I paid for a condition of: “New”.The paper itself is great, but Amazon shipped it in a big box with no bubble wrap or anything, so it was just banging around in there and arrived with crumpled edges.Great for my menuI am satisfied with the quality of the laser paper. The five reams that I ordered were shipped in a cardboard box with no packing. The wrapping around each ream became torn and some sheets were damaged. I managed to tape the outer wrapping of each ream so I could store the paper for future use. The shipping box looked like it had been tossed around in transit. The box was covered in shipping tape to hold it together. Not sure whether the vendor taped the box or whether UPS taped it so that it would not break open. Overall I am satisfied with the product, but I would never order anything again from this vendor. They do not know how to securely pack items for shipment.The box was damaged however, I thought the paper was okay since it’s packaged. This is how the paper arrived. The package wasn’t closed on the bottom but looked fine until I opened the top. For the price I paid I don’t wan’t any issues let alone damaged paper. I can’t rate the print quality because I don’t know.Annoying the paper I received had the packaging ripped open and half the paper removed! Strange, as the delivery box was not tampered with.Thankfully customer services sorted this out, but another reviewer said the same thing happened to their order too.Really nice paper. The surface is flawless, and the 24lb weight is as heavy as I'd want for high-quality documents. However, there is just no good way to safely ship ANY single ream; the light packaging is designed for the protection of a multi-ream box. The ream I received had the ends and center taped, though there was sheets with folded corners, which could only have happened before the tape was applied. I stopped counting at 67 sheets with corner or edge damage, and just kept removing more damaged sheets until there were usable ones I could put in my printer. Esas últimas cosas no me parecían tan importantes cuando sólo usaba plumas de gel, pero ciertamente uno espera cosas de los papeles de 32 LB.Llegué a probar rápidamente la otra versión de 32 LB de Hammermill (la de la guacamaya) y parece ser mejor, pero jamás vi su desempeño con plumas fuente.Si eres usuario de plumas fuente, verifica otras opciones. Contra todo pronóstico, el papel Navigator de 32 LB no tiene feathering pero mata las variaciones de tonalidad y el "sheen" de las tintas, una cosa por otra supongo (es barato en ciertos lugares especializados ---Lumen)... Comparando el volumen del paquete de las hojas con el volumen en conjunto de las mismas, parece que no faltan, pero es algo terrible por parte de Amazon; así que 5 estrellas para el producto y 2 estrellas para el sistema de paquetería de Amazon.I was initially worried that the ink from my canon MegaTank would smear on laser paper but I have had none of those issues .I love printing my teacher guides and workbooks on 32 lb paper and this one does the job- crisp images and soft, buttery texture. 98 brightness is also more appealing to the eye as I find it less “blinding” than 100 brightness .I bought this paper to print homeschool materials (including Gather’Round), and I love, love, love it!! If paper can be beautiful, than this paper is that. The tactile feel of the paper is great, and I love that it is just a tad heavier than what I’ve used in the past (I typically buy the cheapest 20lb paper I can find, I’ve even used 16lb Eco friendly paper which worked fine but was super thin). I thought this paper may handle all the colorful illustrations well that is contained within the Gather’Round curriculum and it definitely did. And for 99% of what I was printing, it handled double sided printing just fine (it wasn’t great for any graph and table type worksheets due to being able to see faint lines from the reverse side). I typically don’t love the print quality of my printer, but this paper helped make up for that fact. Because the paper appeared to have a really faint sheen I was initially worried writing on it, but I tried a pencil and a few pens and it worked well with no smudging. I’m not sure if I would use it for regular, daily printing as it feels a little too nice. All around I’m super happy.
